Asarasi is the Latin for the genus and species of the maple tree, Aceraceae. (Ah-sir-ah-see). Our name comes from the roots of our language and our water comes from the roots of the maple tree.

There are many ways that Asarasi has a positive impact on sustainable agriculture, farmers, forests and the groundwater supply. Asarasi positively impacts the drinkable water supply by replacing the bottled water industry with a renewable source of water and conserves terrestrial groundwater resources. Asarasi also helps establish and create new market
opportunities and revenue generation for farmers. Asarasi also upcycles and productively uses the tree water byproduct produced at maple tree farms, preventing food waste and improving operational efficiency of farms by 33x!

No, all water is not organic. In fact, water taken from the ground is geologically and not biologically sourced. Asarasi is the only USDA certified organic water in the world--pure water harvested from trees! While some flavored water competitors label their products as "USDA Organic," the only reason they can make that claim is that they have added organic flavorings to their water. Most canned or bottled waters derive their water from local municipal sources and these waters are 90% purified municipal water and 10% organic flavorings, which allows them to be Certified Organic. Asarasi is inherently organic because it derives naturally from living maple trees!

There are many great reasons to buy tree water rather than standard bottled waters. First, the groundwater supply--while abundant in the northeast U.S.—is not readily available in other parts of the U.S. or globally. The world is rapidly running out of fresh water resources and Asarasi is leading the charge to protect our forests and critical groundwater resources by providing a fully sustainable and renewable water supply.  Second, our customers not only want to trust where their bottled water comes from, but also do not want to negatively impact the environment. Asarasi takes this one step further by selling our bottled water at the same price as our competitors, which encourages consumers to make better purchase decisions that directly result in positive environmental outcomes and economic impacts for family maple farms.

Asarasi pays the farms on a per gallon basis for their maple tree water and pays for the packaging and transportation to produce Asarasi’s products. By partnering with Asarasi, farms have the opportunity to double their net profit per gallon of maple permeate produced, dramatically impacting their annual net profit through this collaboration.

Maple farms often disperse the water they collect in the process of tapping trees across a broad area of farmland. Maple farms are focused on collecting maple sap and selling maple syrup so they don’t have a direct need for the tree water that is collected through the maple taps. That’s until Asarasi came in and made it profitable for them to sell their tree water and have it be productively upcycled into Asarasi Sparkling Tree Water!

Asarasi is single-handedly pioneering a new market for tree-sourced water and this new category of water directly benefits the maple tree farms that partner with us and who are building this new water category alongside us. Farms that partner with Asarasi receive substantial additional income through the sale of their tree water to Asarasi and are simultaneously helping us to build the scale necessary to bring this amazing new product to market in a demonstrable way.
